How it works

Up and running
in three steps.

No forms at a bank, no card machine, no new wallet. SnaPay works with the mobile money you already have.

  1. 1

    Download SnaPay

Get it from the App Store or Google Play when it launches. It's free to download.

  2. 2

Sign up with your MoMo number

We text a code to that number and show the name your network has on it. Add your Ghana Card and a selfie, then set a passcode.

  3. 3

Get paid, pay and top up

Put your code on the wall, send money with the name shown first, ask for money, and buy airtime for anyone.

Send money

See the name before it goes.

Pick someone from your contacts or type a number. SnaPay shows the name the network has on that wallet, so the wrong digit never costs you.

  • Any network: MTN, Telecel, AT
  • Send it as a gift, with a message
  • You approve on your own phone. SnaPay never asks for your PIN
Ask for money

Ask once. Get the exact amount.

Type how much and what it's for, then send it as a SnaPay notification — or as a WhatsApp message to someone who doesn't have SnaPay yet. They see who's asking, how much and why, and pay the exact amount.

  • No numbers read out, no screenshots to check
  • Works for people without SnaPay — a WhatsApp message is enough
  • Gifts: send money or airtime with a message, and get a thank-you back
Airtime & data

Top up anyone, in seconds.

Buy airtime or data for yourself or for Mum's number, on any network, straight from your mobile money.

  • MTN, Telecel and AT
  • For your own line or someone else's
  • Every top-up on your record
Your money

Every cedi, in one place.

Add every wallet that's in your name — MTN, Telecel and AT — and see all of it in one app. Every payment in or out lands on your record, with a receipt you can show anyone.

  • All your wallets in your name, side by side
  • Find any payment by name, amount or reference
  • A receipt with a reference for every payment
  • See what came in this month at a glance

Safety

Built so your money
stays yours.

Your PIN never leaves your phone

Every payment is approved on your network’s own prompt. SnaPay never sees or asks for your MoMo PIN.

The name before money moves

You see the name registered on a wallet before you confirm, so the wrong digit doesn’t cost you.

A passcode on the app

SnaPay asks for your passcode every time it opens, and locks after too many wrong tries.

SnaPay doesn’t hold your money

Payments go straight into your own mobile money wallet. SnaPay is not a bank.

Your Ghana Card stays private

It’s only used to confirm it’s really you. People who pay you never see it.

Leave any time

Delete your account from the app whenever you want. No calls, no forms.

SnaPay is operated by GiGx Prime Consult, a Ghanaian company in Accra.

Questions

Good questions,
straight answers.

Can't find yours? Ask us — a real person replies.

Is SnaPay safe?

Every payment is approved on your own phone, on your network’s own prompt, so SnaPay never sees or asks for your MoMo PIN. Before money moves you see the name registered on the wallet, and the app asks for your passcode every time it opens.

Do my customers need SnaPay to pay me?

No. Anyone can scan your SnaPay code or card with their phone camera and pay into your mobile money. You can also send a request as a WhatsApp link to someone who doesn’t have SnaPay yet.

Which networks does SnaPay work with?

MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money — for getting paid, sending money and buying airtime or data.

What does it cost?

SnaPay adds nothing for the person paying you. Wherever SnaPay does charge, the amount is shown before you confirm anything — never after.

Where does my money go?

Straight into your own mobile money wallet. SnaPay is not a bank and does not hold your money.

What if I send money to the wrong person?

SnaPay shows the registered name before you confirm, so you can stop before it happens. Once money reaches someone’s wallet it is theirs and SnaPay cannot take it back — settle it with the person, and SnaPay will give you the record of the payment to help.

How do I get a SnaPay card?

Order it in the app and pick a colour for each of your wallets. A courier brings it to your landmark, then you switch it on in the app.

When can I download SnaPay?

SnaPay is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Leave your email or phone number at the bottom of this page and we’ll tell you the day it’s out.

in a snap.
